CTE Director

Nicholas “Nick” Gonzales

 

"The Division of Teaching and Learning is proud to welcome Nicholas “Nick” Gonzales as Katy ISD’s new Career and Technical Education (CTE) Director.

Mr. Gonzales brings a strong background in instructional leadership, program development, and workforce readiness. He has successfully led districtwide CTE programs aligned with TEKS and CCMR indicators, while fostering continuous improvement across multiple career pathways. Under his leadership, Royal ISD was named a CTAT District of Distinction in CTE for the 2024–2025 and 2025–2026 school years.

He has also built strong partnerships with business and industry, expanded student internship opportunities, and supported CTSO success at all levels. His experience includes serving as an Engineering Teacher, Agricultural Science Teacher, and FFA Advisor in both Royal ISD and Spring Branch ISD.

Mr. Gonzales’s expertise and leadership will be a valuable asset to Katy ISD. Please join us in welcoming him to the district."
