Powering Up for Back to School - New Student Enrollment Re-opens on July 26Powering Up for Back to School - New Student Enrollment Re-opens on July 262021-07-01T22:01:20Z<div class="ExternalClass482EB27B13624F22B9454F10E3AE07DE"><p><img src="/PublishingImages/Slideviewer.jpg" alt="" style="margin:5px;width:400px;height:155px;" /><br></p><p>July 1, 2021<br></p><p>Dear Katy ISD Parents/Guardians and Staff,</p><p>New student pre-registration for the 2021-22 Katy ISD fall semester is currently closed, though it will reopen on Monday, July 26.  Parents of new students will be able to enroll for the fall semester through the District's <a href="/registration/Pages/default.aspx">PowerSchool Enrollment webpage</a>.  A new student is defined as a K-12 learner who has never attended a school within Katy ISD, or a previous Katy ISD student who withdrew and is re-enrolling.  <br><br>Prior to beginning the online registration process for new students, it's recommended that parents have the following documentation ready to upload:</p><ul><li>Proof of Residence:  A utility bill (light, water or gas), purchasing paperwork or lease agreement.  If a lease agreement or purchasing paperwork is provided at the time of registration, a utility bill must be provided within 30 days of occupancy.</li><li>Official Birth Certificate or Passport of Student</li><li>Government-issued Identification Care of Person Registering Student</li><li>Proof of Immunization</li><li>Report Card or Transcript at Recently Attended School</li></ul><span style="font-size:14px;">Parents of current Katy ISD students may update their child's information in </span><a href="/registration/Pages/default.aspx" style="font-size:14px;">PowerSchool Enrollment</a><span style="font-size:14px;"> beginning August 2.</span><br style="font-size:14px;"><br style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-size:14px;">All new and current Katy ISD students are required to use PowerSchool Enrollment to submit a new student registration or their annual student update.</span><br style="font-size:14px;"><br style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-size:14px;">Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to submit a parent inquiry through the </span><a href="/Parent-Student-Tech-Support" style="font-size:14px;">Parent/Guardian & Student Technology Support Center</a><span style="font-size:14px;"> or email </span><a href="mailto:centralregistration@katyisd.org" style="font-size:14px;">centralregistration@katyisd.org</a><span style="font-size:14px;">.</span><br style="font-size:14px;"><br style="font-size:14px;"><br><p> </p><p><br></p></div>
Katy ISD Employees Rewarded with a Pay IncreaseKaty ISD Employees Rewarded with a Pay Increase2021-06-29T03:00:05Z<div class="ExternalClass0F6BADBDC36243FD91BD42415D12AC22"><p>​<span style="text-align:justify;">At the Regular Board meeting, Katy Independent School District Trustees made it a budget priority to ensure teachers and staff are recognized for their ongoing commitment to District students and families following a school year fraught with a pandemic, a winter freeze and many other challenges. Trustees approved a 2% pay increase to be distributed beginning in July 2021, or depending on the staff member's contract start date, with a 1% one-time lump sum payment to be provided this December. </span></p><p style="text-align:justify;">Pay increases are calculated based on an employee's midpoint rates of pay found on the <a href="/dept/hr/Documents/2022%20Pay%20Ranges.pdf">Katy ISD Human Resources webpage</a>.  Regular part-time employees will also benefit from this increase approved tonight.<br></p><p><br></p></div>
