West Memorial Junior High Band is an organization dedicated to the musical and academic education of all participants. WMJH band consists of three ability grouped levels; Beginning Band, Concert, and Symphonic bands. Full band, small group, and private instruction activities are provided to help students achieve and improve success. Band at WMJH helps develop life-skills as well as musical skills, nurtures strong bonds of friendship, and provides a family-type of environment for all students. Band also emphasizes self-discipline, promotes teamwork, and provides an enjoyable, worthwhile, and life-long hobby.

This is a class that involves learning to read music, singing a variety of musical collections, and learning to appreciate all styles and facets of music. At West Memorial, students are given the opportunity to be a part of a team in order to build confidence and work together.

Orchestra is comprised of an ensemble of four different stringed instruments. At West Memorial, students are given the opportunity to explore their instrument, sight read, and work as part of a team while learning a life-long skill.

|Ms. Breland||Student council is a student-led campus organization that helps contribute to our surrounding community as well as our school community. Our student council members are elected by our student body at WMJH. Students are selected based on academic success and leadership capabilities. If you think you have the leadership skills to be a role model for our school, community, and your peers.|

Are you interested in the wonderful world of programming and robotics?? The Robotics Club will teach you the ins and outs of programming using a Scribbler Robot, where you will learn to make it sing, draw, and dance. Advanced students will be able to build their own Robot using the LEGO Mindstorms and compete Regionally with their program!
