Texas Bluebonnet Award Books:
Third, fourth, and fifth graders are invited to share about the Bluebonnet books they have read this school year. In order to participate in Bluebonnet voting and receive a Bluebonnet brag tag, students must share about 5 or more 2020-2021 Bluebonnet Books. Students, you must fill out and submit a separate form for EACH book you share about. Be sure to fill out all of the required information for each form you submit. Use complete sentences in places you are required to use them. All forms submitted will be compiled and submitted electronically to Mrs.Bryant. The deadline for submission is January 15, 2021.

Stallions Reading Challenge
The USE Library is pleased to announce our 2020-21 Stallion Reading Challenge. All students Kinder - 5th grades are encouraged to participate.
Each student will have access to a reading calendar in Canvas each month, October through March. (Paper copies will also be available in the library.)
Students should have parents initial each day a student reads at least 20 minutes at home. Reading may be done with a parent and/or independently.
Students who read 20 minutes at least 20 days at home for the month and turn in their reading calendar to the library will receive a coupon for one free personal pan pizza from Pizza Hut.
Students who return 4-6 calendars will be invited to a special reading celebration in April. Students who return 6 completed calendars will also get to attend a pizza party if guidelines allow.
There are three OPTIONS for turning in your calendars:
Turn in your completed paper copy to the labeled tray in the library.
Take a picture of the completed calendar and email it to melissajbryant@katyisd.org
