Clubs and organizations available to MDJH students
Junior Thespians
| Junior Thespians is the junior high Theatre Honor Society for students in grades 6-8. It is part of the International Thespian Society (ITS HS Theatre Honor Society) Graduated students become Junior Thespian Alumni and begin their high school careers with half the points needed for Thespian induction.

MDJH Book Club
| The MDJH Book Club is an opportunity for students to join the school principal, librarian, and other peers in reading books. There will be discussions and activities centered around a common book that is read by everyone.

National Junior Honors Society (NJHS)
| The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is an international student organization that consists of chapters in middle schools. Students are invited to be a part of the club during their 8th grade year based on their grades in 7th grade.

Pep Squad
| Pep Squad is a school spirit organization with the purpose of promoting school spirit by participating at athletic events. As recognized school leaders, Pep Squad members are expected to be positive role models at school and in their community.

| Meets after school for one athletic event per week with practice after school on a separate day. Schedule reflects the current athletic sport season.

Spanish Club
| The Spanish Club is an organization who enjoys the Spanish language and the Hispanic cultures. This organization allows students to handle responsibilities and performs service in our community. This club welcomes all 8th graders.

Student Council
| Student Council consists of elected officers and representatives that work together as LEADERS to organize events for McDonald Junior High and the community. The goals of student council are to promote and maintain unity, loyalty and spirit within MDJH, to provide a forum for student expression, and to bring about closer cooperation between the faculty and the student body and the students among themselves.
