I graduated from the University of Houston-Victoria with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education! In my classroom, I work hard to have all students find a love for Math and Science while also creating an environment where students feel safe, loved, and successful. I spend most of my free time at sports practice for my children. My stepdaughter Emma and son Hayden are both 11 years old and will be going into 6th grade this year. They play a variety of sports including football, basketball, baseball, and softball which is why we are always so busy! My husband and I also have a 6 month old baby girl! I also enjoy game nights, movie nights, pool time, and family trips. I am looking forward to a wonderful school year with you and your sweet child!|

I grew up in Katy and attended Katy schools kindergarten through twelfth grade. Outside of school, I enjoy going to the gym and staying active. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends and my sweet rescue cat, Tilly!
As a teacher, I strive to make my classroom a welcoming environment for all who walk through its doors. My goal is to make sure that each and every student feels loved and supported and that they know that learning is fun and that mistakes should be celebrated!

My husband, Jeff, and I have 3 wonderful children to round out our “JTeam”. Jeremy and Jentry both graduated from The University of Oklahoma. Our youngest, Jessie, is a junior at Katy High School and plays on the varsity volleyball team. We’ve spent many years watching our kids play various sports while they were growing up. I love to travel, read children’s books, and ride my new bike! We also have 2 dogs that love to go on walks.
I enjoy teaching children how to be lifelong readers! I am very excited to have each of you in my classroom. This year we will grow together in so many ways. I can’t wait to get to know all about you, your interests outside of school, as well as what you like to read and write. I’ve been reading some new books this summer myself!
Hey y’all! My name is Ms. Luchetti! This is my fifth year teaching, and my fifth year in a fourth grade classroom! Last year I spent all of the Fall Semester as a KVA teacher, and then was a hybrid KVA teacher for the Spring Semester! I am eager to be back with students face-to-face, full-time.
I was born in Farmington, New Mexico, but have spent most of my life in Texas. I went to King Elementary, Katy Junior High, and Katy High School. Growing up I enjoyed spending time with my siblings and competing in Taekwondo. Last year I got married to my wonderful husband Adam, and together we have two kiddos, with one sweet baby boy who will make his grand arrival in October!We enjoy spending time together as a family by watching movies, going swimming, and driving into Houston for new adventures! We share our home with a crazy puppy who doesn’t quite realize that he is a dog and not a baby, but we love him and his personality.

My husband, Tony, and I have two college age children. Zach is a senior at Texas A&M Kingsville, TX studying Mechanical Engineering. Katelyn is a junior at Texas A&M College Station studying Biological and Agricultural Engineering. We have a dog named Belle. Belle is a 13 year old Maltese Shih Tzu mix. In my freetime, I enjoy hiking, biking, camping, and gardening.

I graduated from the University of Texas in Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Education and I hold a Master of Education from Houston Baptist University. I am also a Reading Specialist K-12. This year I begin my 22nd year of teaching. I have taught 2nd, 4th, 5th, and grades 9-12.
I have two sweet daughters that are both in college. Nicole attends the University of Texas and Samantha will start her freshman year at Marymount Manhattan in NYC. I have a cute little Pug named Bella. I enjoy working out, shopping, reading, and writing in my journal.

Childhood Education. I have over 30 years of experience and have taught every elementary
grade level from pre-kindergarten through 5th grade.
My husband and I have lived and worked in Oklahoma, Washington, and the great
state of Texas. We have two grown sons that are working college students. Our oldest son
Jared lives and works in Orlando. He works at Disney World as well as Universal Studios
and is working toward a degree in hospitality. Jack lives in Washington and is pursuing a
degree in Information Technology.
My classroom is a safe space for all students to be creative thinkers, learn, and be

My husband, Ryan, and I have 2 amazing kids. My son, Owen, will be going into 9th grade at Seven Lakes High School. My daughter, Kenadi, will be entering 6th grade at Seven Lakes Junior High School. We love spending time outdoors and playing sports! My favorite teams are the Astros and the Texans. We also love animals! We have a German Shepard named Flex, 2 foster cats named Pinot and Grigio, and 2 fish named Stellaluna and Skittles.

|My name is Andrea Young, and I am excited to start my 14th year teaching at Shafer Elementary. I am a native San Antonian but have now lived in the Houston area for about 6 years. I graduated from Texas State University with a B.S. in interdisciplinary studies and UT-San Antonio with an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies. I am currently a doctoral student at The University of Houston. My students have most recently described me as “silly but serious.” I have high expectations for our scholars and work hard to build positive relationships with my students and their families. I love all things The Golden Girls and enjoy singing karaoke with family and friends. I am excited to join the Shafer family this year as a 4th grade ELA teacher.
