CATS Hours Update for 2020-2021
There are new requirements for CATS hours for this year.
Freshman: 5 hour minimum
Sophomore: 10 hour minimum
Junior: 20 hour minimum
Senior: 30 hour minimum
Make sure you print out the log from the CATS link(to the right). Submit completed packet by the FIRST FRIDAY IN APRIL (Friday April 2, 2021 by 2:35 p.m.) to the appropriate grade level principal's office.
Senior Portrait deadline has been extended to November 21. Appointments can be made online at https://local.prestigeportraits.com/tx/katy/2501-south-mason-rd.html or you may call the location directly at 281-492-9361.
IMPORTANT UPDATE-AP test registration!
Due to the Total Registration website having technical difficulties on the night of October 25th, we have re-opened the AP Test registration window. This window will close on Wednesday, October 28th at 11:59pm. In order to make sure this does not happen again, please do not wait until the last minute to register for your exams.

KVA students will have an opportunity to come to campus on Wednesday 10/28, 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. to get measured and place an order.
Herff Jones will be on campus for Face to Face students to get measured and place orders on Wednesday 11/4, during all lunches on the stage in the main commons.

Registration for 2021 AP Exams
Registration for 2021 AP exams ends on October 25, 2020 at 11:59 pm. Students who are enrolled in an AP class during the fall semester MUST register to take AP exams by the deadline on October 25th. This includes Miller and KVS students as well as summer KVS students. If you are planning to take Physics C: Mechanics, Physics C: Electricity & Magnetism, or AP Psychology, you must register by the October 25th deadline in order to not incur a late fee. Please see information on the website, or ask your AP teacher, for the steps to register for your exams.
All senior pictures must be taken by October 10th for your picture to be in the yearbook. Please contact Prestige Portraits if you have not had your picture taken. Go online to their website Prestrigeportraits.com for information.
For Face to Face students only – Prestige will be on campus on October 7th, during all lunches for students who did not get their picture taken at their studio.

Senior shirts for sale beginning Sept. 8
Support the Senior Class of 2021 by purchasing a t-shirt. Shirts will be available in the Senior office, Rm. 1628, beginning on Sept. 8.
Graduation requirements for the Foundation High School Program + Endorsement (FHSPE)
Graduation requirements for the Foundation High School Program + Endorsement (FHSPE) include four math credits, which must include Algebra I and Geometry credits, and two additional math credits. Algebra II is not specified as a graduation requirement; however, students who do not earn Algebra II credit are not eligible for: • Earning the Distinguished Level of Achievement (DLA), which requires completion of an endorsement with Algebra II among the four math credits, • Recognition as an honors or high honors graduate, • Automatic admission to a state public college or university, and • Certain financial aid opportunities, including the TEXAS grant or the Texas Educational Opportunity Grant.
