May 2, 2026 - Katy ISD voters elected members to serve on the Katy ISD Board of Trustees today.  The OFFICIAL results are: 

Cicely Taylor won Position 3 with a total of 5,559 votes.

Jim Davidson won Position 4 with a total of 4,755 votes.

Nathan Shipley won Position 5 with a total of 5,163 votes.

2026 Summary & Certification of the Post-Election Hand Count Audit

Katy ISD will hold a General Election on May 2, 2026 (polling​ locations). Trustee Positions 3, 4, and 5 will be on the ballot to serve a three-year term.

Early Voting takes place Monday, April 20 through Tuesday, April 28, including Saturday, April 25.  The polls are closed on Tuesday, April 21 in honor of San Jacinto Day.

Current state law requires a candidate for trustee of an independent school district to be a qualified voter by the time required, Election Code Section 141.001. An application for place on the ballot must be filed with the Elections Administrator located at the Katy ISD Education Support Complex, 6301 S. Stadium Lane, Katy, TX 77494, beginning Wednesday, January 14, 2026, and ending at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 13, 2026.
