Katy ISD will hold a General Election on May 1, 2027  (polling​ locations). Trustee Positions 6 and 7 will be on the ballot to serve a three-year term.

Current state law requires a candidate for trustee of an independent school district to be a qualified voter by the time required, Election Code Section 141.001. An application for place on the ballot must be filed with the Elections Administrator by mail, facsimile, email or in person beginning Wednesday, January 13, 2027 and ending at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 12, 2027.
