Transcript Requirements

• Applicants must provide official undergraduate transcripts from ALL universities attended as part of the bachelor’s degree
• Transcripts can be sent via email directly from the college/university to acp@katyisd.org
• All foreign transcripts must be evaluated for US equivalency by an accredited transcript evaluation company from the approved list of Foreign Credential Evaluation Services and include a course list and overall GPA

Applicants must have minimum semester credit hours as follows:

Core Subjects with STR Grades EC-6:

• • 12 hours – combination of each of English, Math, Science, Social Studies

Core Subjects with STR Grades 4-8:

• • 12 hours - combination of each of English, Math, Science, and Social Studies

If you do not meet the requirement for undergraduate semester hours in the certification area you are seeking, you must take and pass the TX-PACT test  for Core Subjects 4-8 (Test # 790).

 

Foreign Credential Evaluation Services

The following organizations are members of either the Association of International Credential Evaluators, Inc. (AICE) or the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) and have been vetted by the TEA to provide specific required information in the evaluation of educators. Katy ISD will accept evaluations of foreign credentials from these organizations.
