Coursework Credit for Non-Military Members

Individuals who are not military service members or military veterans may be able to substitute prior or ongoing service, training, education, provided that the service, training, or education are not counted as part of the internship or practicum requirements, and was provided by an approved EPP or an accredited institution of higher education within the last five years, and is directly related to the certificate being sought. Individuals may provide transcripts and other service documentation for evaluation. Submitted documents will be reviewed to determine alignment with program coursework. Submitted coursework in alignment with program will be accepted in lieu of the Katy ISD TEA⁺CH coursework with which aligned. Candidates will be notified in writing of any credit given.
