AP/PreAP GT

Students who select an Advanced Placement or Pre-Advanced Placement English Course (or AP/GT, PreAP/GT) in grades 7-12 have a required summer reading assignment. Prior to the first day of school, the PreAP or PreAP/GT English student should select and carefully read one of the titles for his/her grade level and course. Students enrolled in AP or AP/GT courses are all required to read the same title. The summer reading assignment applies to students entering AP, PreAP, AP/GT or PreAP/GT English in grades 7-12.


Dual Credit

Dual Credit enables a high school student to earn credit towards high school graduation while simultaneously earning college credit towards an associate's degree or workforce program certificate. (source: www.hccs.edu)


Foreign Exchange Application and Guidelines

Foreign Exchange Student's application will not be accepted until Monday, March 10, 2014 through Friday, July 18, 2014. ONLY 5 exchange students are allowed per Katy ISD High School. Applications are taken on a FIRST COME -FIRST SERVE BASIS. Students are assessed by KISD and expected to be proficient in English in order to function in their classes. ONLY 10th and 11th grade students can be exchange students. Foreign Exchange Students are only accepted for the ENTIRE school year. Semester exchange students are not accepted for KISD. Foreign Exchange Students must apply through an accredited agency.
