Scope of Work

The scope of work includes the repair and resealing of the exterior sealant at all control and expansion joints, around all window and door frames, and at all wall penetrations as well as providing thru-wall flashing and roof repairs previously identified by district roofers,


Project Description

  • Waterproofing of building envelope - Elementary Campuses.

Creech Elementary (SCE), Schmalz Elementary (SES), King Elementary (RKE), Kilpatrick Elementary (OKE), and Rylander Elementary (RRE)

These schools were built in 2000, 2001, 2001, 2003 and 2004 respectively. The life expectancy for water‐tightness is 10 years. Caulk joints are in poor and deteriorating condition. This information has been confirmed by district roofers and an outside roofing consultant.

  • Waterproofing of building envelope - Junior High Campuses.

Beck Junior High (BJH), McMeans Junior High (MMJH), Cinco Ranch Junior High (CRJH)

These schools were built in 1996, 2000, and 2001 respectively. The life expectancy for water tightness
is 10 years. Caulk joints are in poor and deteriorating condition.

This information has been confirmed by district roofers and an outside roofing consultant.

  • Thru-wall and waterproofing - Katy High School (KHS)

The thru‐wall is original to the building. Exterior waterproofing caulk joints are hard and deteriorated.  Numerous leaks associated with thru‐wall have been address along walls and stairwells. Repairs have been made by contractors in leaking areas.
