A little bit about Katy ISD and us...

Katy ISD is a suburban school district that encompasses 181 square miles in Harris, Fort Bend, and Waller Counties. The eastern boundaries stretch into Houston's (the fourth largest city in the United States) energy corridor, approximately 16 miles from Houston's central business district.

The student population has grown to over 51,000+ students, (sustained by an ongoing 5% growth rate) including eight high schools for a total of 46 schools. School transportation is provided to all students, utilizing approximately 427 buses. Approximately 25,000+ students depend on the district's bus fleet for transportation (all programs), per trip or approximately 51,000+ passenger trips per day.

The Transportation Department provides fuel and vehicle maintenance for the district's fleet of over 642 vehicles representing the following departments: Administration, Transportation, Maintenance, Technology, Technical Services, Computer Services, Food Services, Warehouse, Police Department, and Network Services.
