Architect: Turner Partners Architecture
Current Estimated Total Project Cost:  $1,441,600
Completion Date: July 2005
Katy ISD Project Manager:  Lisa Kassman

Description:

Specific school community concerns were identified in December 2004 related to the condition of certain athletic field components at Mayde Creek High School.  Since that time, Facilities personnel have addressed immediate maintenance needs and have investigated other functional requirements.  It was the recommendation of administration that various components of work be undertaken to improve specific athletic field facilities.

The outcome of a programming exercise, and review of the MCHS athletic facilities, was a master plan of the athletic complex which included the following components:

  • New home baseball bleachers (completed February 2005)
  • Remodeled visitor baseball bleachers (completed February 2005)
  • Conversion of baseball concession to central storage
  • Renovation of baseball press box to meet ADA requirements
  • New central concession and restrooms to service baseball and football
  • Additional parking with reconfigured parking entry
  • New football bleachers with integrated ADA compliant press box

The project will be undertaken in such a way as not to negatively impact field activities and will be substantially complete by July 2005.
