Joe M. Adams, President
Position 1 Term Expires 2010
Joe Adams has served as a member of the Katy ISD Board of Trustees since 1989 in the capacities of president, vice president, secretary, treasurer and sergeant at arms, and currently serves as a director on the Gulf Coast Area Association of School Boards.
Adams is Vice President and District Director of PBS&J Houston, a national consulting engineering firm. Prior to joining PBS&J, he worked in the oil and gas industry for thirty years, including assignments in London, England and Cairo, Egypt.
Adams holds a B.B.A. in marketing from Texas A&M University. He serves on the board of directors of the Southern Federal Credit Union, the North Houston Association and is a deacon at Kingsland Baptist Church. He and his wife Donna have been married for 35 years and have two grown children and one grandchild.

Judith Snyder, Vice President
Position 5 Term Expires 2011
Judy Snyder joined the Katy ISD Board of Trustees in 1996 and has served three times as president, twice as vice president, as well as sergeant-at-arms and treasurer. She is a graduate of the class of 2000 Leadership TASB (Texas Association of School Boards) and has earned the distinction of being named a Master Trustee. She also has served as a Legislative Representative from Region IV and is a member of the TASB Legislative Advocacy Network.
A volunteer in Katy ISD schools for 18 years, Snyder served as PTO President at Mayde Creek High School for two years and was a member of the campus parent advisory committee and the athletic booster club. She also has served on the Board of the Katy Parents of the Gifted and Talented and was chosen as the Gifted and Talented Parent of the Year from Region IV.
Snyder actively participated in the development of the Katy Plan, a long-range plan to implement the programs and curriculum that would ensure the continued excellent delivery of education to students in Katy ISD.
A graduate from Texas Tech University with a bachelor of science degree, Snyder currently serves as vice president and general manager for a scholarship management company. She has worked in marketing for a Fortune 500 Company, as well as owned her own company serving as President and CEO. She currently serves on the Board of U.S.A.E.A. (The United States Africa Energy Association).
Snyder has been active in community service serving on numerous boards including the Katy Business Community Steering Committee, the Susan G. Komen Foundation and her neighborhood homeowner’s board. She has also participated in fundraisers for various charitable foundations.

Rebecca Fox, Secretary
Position 2 Term Expires 2010
Rebecca Fox has served as a member of the Katy ISD Board of Trustees since 2004 in the capacities of treasurer and secretary. She is a graduate of the class of 2007 Leadership TASB (Texas Association of School Boards) and has earned the distinction of being named a Master Trustee. She is also a member of the TASB Legislative Advocacy Network.
Fox holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Consumer and Family Science from Southeastern Louisiana University and works part-time as a motivational speaker and parent educator. Married for 23 years, she and her husband have two children.
A parent and long-time volunteer, Fox has served in leadership on PTA boards at Hayes Elementary, Creech Elementary, Beck Jr. High and Cinco Ranch High School, where she was named Volunteer of the Year.She has served on district committees such as Campus Advisory Team, Bond Committees and Rezoning Committees and served three years as an executive board member of Katy ISD Volunteers in Public Schools. She continues to be involved in schools across the district through KEYS Mentoring, teaching Junior Achievement, Promise-to-Read and a variety of other programs. She was awarded the distinction of PTA lifetime member for her dedication to students, families and community.
Fox is active in her church and community service through National Charity League and is a board member at the Pregnancy Help Center.

Chris Crockett, Treasurer
Position 3 Term Expires 2011
Chris Crockett is an active volunteer for Katy ISD at the campus and district level. She is a member of the Leadership Katy class of 2004, and has served on the May and November 2006 Bond Committees and the Bond Review Committee. She has served on Campus Advisory Teams at Memorial Parkway Junior High, on PTA boards at Nottingham Country Elementary and Memorial Parkway Junior High, and on the Taylor High School Band Booster Board. She was named Volunteer of the Year for Memorial Parkway Junior High for 2003-04. She served Katy Parents of Gifted and Talented as a Campus Representative, Board Secretary, Super Saturday Coordinator, Education Liaison and Legislative Liaison.
Crockett worked part time as Public Records Manager and as a substitute teacher for Katy ISD. When practicing law in the 1980s and 90s, her focus was in estate planning and probate areas. She is a strong supporter of the arts, and worked as a stage manager and served on the board of Katy Performing Arts Society. She is a member of One-a-Chord, an interdenominational singing group that performs at nursing homes in the West Houston area, and is a member of St. Peter’s United Methodist Church. Prior to moving to Katy she was an active volunteer in Anchorage, Alaska; Jakarta, Indonesia; Aberdeen, Scotland; and McKinney, Texas.
Crockett is a graduate of the University of St. Thomas (BBA in Economics, 1980) and the University of Houston Law Center (JD, 1986). She and her husband of 29 years, David, have two children, Thomas, a physics and philosophy major at Texas A&M University, and Elin, who will major in biology at the University of Texas. Both children are graduates of Taylor High School.

Eric M. Duhon, Sergeant-at-Arms
Position 4 Term Expires 2010
Eric Duhon has been a Katy ISD Board Member since 1999 and has served as president (three years), vice president, treasurer, and sergeant-at-arms. He is Global Director of Data Center Technologies for BG-Group and holds a degree in Technology Management from Pepperdine University. He is a former member of Katy High Athletic Boosters and a former member of KHS Band Boosters. He is an active member of Katy First United Methodist Church. He and his wife Sheryl have been married for 28 years and have graduates from Katy High School class of 1995, 2003, and 2005.

Robert Shaw, Member
Position 6 Term Expires 2012
Robert Shaw has been a member of the Katy ISD Board of Trustees since 1997 and is currently serving in his fifth term. A graduate of Oklahoma State University, he is employed by Aker Solutions, a Houston engineering company. Robert and his wife Cindy have been married for 38 years and residents of Katy for the past 34 years. Robert and Cindy have three grown children, all graduates of Katy High School. His oldest son, Charles, is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a degree in Computer Science and currently employed as an Embedded Software Engineer for Boeing in Mesa, Arizona. Daughter Allison, is a graduate of Texas State University with a degree in Fashion Merchandising. Son Jeffrey, is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and currently employed by Cronus Technology, Inc. in Houston.
Prior to his board service, Shaw served the district as a UIL swim referee, served on the Katy ISD Plan Committee, is a past vice president of the West Houston Aquatic League, past president of the Tiger Swim Club, and former membership chairman and concessions chairman of the Katy High School Athletic Booster Club. He and his family are members of the First United Methodist Church of Katy.

Neal Howard, Member
Position 7 Term Expires 2012
Neal Howard was elected to the Katy ISD Board of Trustees in 2009. He is a graduate of Rice University with a Bachelors of Science in Chemical Engineering, holds a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Virginia, and is a licensed petroleum engineer in the state of Texas. He works in business development for Occidental Petroleum and serves on the Engineering Registration Committee of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
Howard has served Katy ISD on the 2002 Bond Committee and as ExxonMobil Science Ambassador for Fielder Elementary and Cinco Ranch High School, volunteering in the classroom and leading field trips related to improving math and science education. He was a member of the Leadership Katy class of 2004.
Howard has also served the Katy community as a small group leader at Grace Fellowship United Methodist Church, where he has led adult, high school, and junior high groups. He served on the Young Life-Katy Adult Committee and has coached for eight seasons in Katy Youth Basketball. He has been a member of the Houston Basketball Chapter of the Texas Association of Sports Officials for the past three years.
Neal and his wife Peggy have been married for 20 years, moved to Katy in 1994 from Midland, Texas, and have four children.
