Department Bureaus
There are three bureaus within the Katy ISD Police Department, including police administration, police operations, and Safety Compliance. There are two or more divisions within each bureau.
Administrative Bureau
The administration bureau includes the divisions of personnel management, communication, security, logistics, and criminal investigation. The administration bureau commander oversees five licensed peace officer, six certified dispatchers, and approximately 41 certified security guards.
Operations Bureau
The operations bureau includes the police patrol, drug interdiction, truance enforcement, and training divisions. The operations commander oversees approximately 30 licensed peace officers.
Safety Bureau
The safety bureau is commanded by the Emergency Management Coordinator. The divisions within the bureau include safety, code compliance, and emergency management.
Special Programs
There are two recurring special programs facilitated by the Police Department. These programs are law enforcement explorers and Santa cops.
