Promise To Read

A Community Connection

Promise to Read is offered each November and provides members of our community businesses and organizations the opportunity to reacquaint themselves with the world of children’s literature by spending thirty minutes reading to a classroom full of excited Katy ISD elementary students. Promise to Read not only inspires students to pursue the joy of lifelong reading, but reminds all participants of the magic of books and the value that reading adds to our everyday lives. Volunteers are encouraged to talk to students about their profession and how they use and enjoy reading as adults.
