Junior Achievement
Inspiring students to value free enterprise, business and economics
Junior Achievement curriculum brings to Katy ISD students real-life lessons on the value of free enterprise, money management skills, career preparation and the role each of us plays in our local and national economy. JA volunteers are trained and given all the materials necessary to presen
t the Junior Achievement program. Volunteers choose their grade-level and work with the classroom teacher in scheduling their class visits.
To volunteer for JA, you need
- One hour per week for five weeks at the elementary level, or
- One hour per week for eight weeks at the secondary level, or
- One day for JA in a Day teaching 6th or 7th grade curriculum
- Participation in a one-time orientation for first-time JA volunteers
