The Application Process

Complete all the sections of the application and send or bring it to the Human Resources Department for processing. This process includes sending for references and completing a criminal history check. An interview will be scheduled with the department after your application has been reviewed. The Human Resources staff will call applicants with an offer of employment. If you are not called for an interview call Human Resources (281-396-6000x2347) at any time to find out the status of your application. Katy ISD accepts applications twelve months a year. Applications are processed and hiring takes place throughout the year.

Hourly Food Service Employee (C-2)

Hours of Work:

Three to six hours per day depending on school assignment. Assignments depend on the number of absences throughout the department starting Pay: $8.00 per hour to start, $9.00 per hour when you receive a permanent school assignment

Primary Responsibilities:

Preparing, cooking and serving food to students and adults
Working in the dish room
Cashiering
Cleaning the kitchen

Other Information:

Employees must supply their own uniform according to district standards. Days worked coincide with the school district calendar.
