ABM Frequently Asked Questions As part of the Long Range Facilities Plan (LRFP) process, Katy ISD has entered into the initial stages of the Attendance Boundary Modification (ABM) process for the four new campuses that will open in August 2012.

The new schools slated to open next fall include:

  • Junior High #13 – Located next to Seven Lakes High School
  • Elem. #33 – Located on Falcon Landing Blvd.
  • Elem. #34 – Located in the Firethorne subdivision
  • Elem. #35 – Located in SW Cinco Ranch

Demographic Update

On Monday, Oct. 24, the district's demographic consultant, Population and Survey Analysts presented to the Katy ISD Board of Trustees the 2011 Demographic Update. Data from this document will be used to help in determining where new attendance boundary lines may be drawn for the new schools. Public Workshops

The district will hold two public workshops to allow the community the opportunity to participate in the ABM process:

Public Workshop #1 – Nov. 15, 6-8 p.m., Katy ISD Education Support Complex, room 1200

  • The first public workshop will review the 2011 Demographic Update, as well as the assumptions, values and data that will be used in creating the attendance boundary recommendations for the new campuses. Attendance boundary recommendations will not be presented at this first meeting.

  • At the second public workshop, the district will present the proposed attendance boundary changes and solicit input from the community.
