 All courses are found in Eduphoria and start with "New Teacher Academy". Please register there for the courses you need. Most of these courses are also offered during the summer at iCamp if you need more opportunities to get them all in.  This is a list of recomme​nded trainings involving technology, that new teachers should have before school begins.

Course Descriptions:

Canvas: (*Note separate courses for elem. & sec.) A 2 1/2 hour hands on course to become familiar with Canvas and learn how to use this powerful learning management system in your classroom. Course design, file upload, online textbook access, discussions, quizzing,and more will be covered.

Chromebooks: Did you know that Chromebooks are now i​n the district? With the Chrome Operating System, these are not the netbooks you are used to. In this session you will learn how students will log in, what the Chromebooks can and cannot do, what is the chrome store, keyboard shortcuts and how students will save and manage files.

Digital Citizenship for Teachers: How you model and teach your students about using technology is as important as establishing classroom rules and expectations. Learn ways you can embed digcit education into everyday lessons and how to prepare students for a society full of technology.

Eduphoria Aware: Participants will learn how to create a variety of test types within Aware starting with the quick key and moving to fully developed tests with a variety of question types including numeric and constructed response. Participants will also explore the available test item banks in Aware. In addition, participants will learn how to set up an Aware test for online testing, including the steps that the students will take to access the test through the Student Portal. This training is designed for users that are new to Aware and those that need a refresher.

24-7 Access to Curr. & Lesson Planning through ​Forethought: Do you want answers NOW? Can you NOT attend a Forethought Face2Face summer training? Join us as we show you how to get 24-7 Forethought instructions without waiting!​​

Google & Office 365: With instruction and hands-on practice time you will learn to create, manage, and share documents, spreadsheets, and presentations. Your files are available anytime, anywhere and can be used by students in all grades. These online products support collaboration and sharing on any device, including iPads.

iTeach with iPads: (*Note separate courses for elem. & sec.) iPads can powerfully impact student learning and creativity. Learn some tips & techniques for using iPads in the classroom. Then, explore apps that allow students to use images, voice, and multimedia recordings that are sure to keep them engaged in learning. We will also practice using a variety of platforms for storing and sharing products.

MyKaty & Online Textbooks: The purpose of this session is to provide a general overview of MyKaty Cloud and accessing your digital content.  Accessing your digital resources is at your fingertips and this session will provide tips on setting textbooks up within your Canvas course or accessing via Single Sign on through the Cloud portal.  Having quick easy access will provide you and your students with interactive online tools to keep learners engaged.

Smooth Sailing with Technology: Participants will learn how to work with various technology initiatives for professional productivity. The overview will include Password Reset Tool, Footprints Tickets, Print Shop, Basic Troubleshooting, and the Knowledge Base.
