Out of District Professional Learning Credit
Because of the diversity of training needs, Katy ISD accepts attendance at conferences and workshops outside the district, including college coursework (maximum 6 semester units per year) for professional learning credit. The focus of the course(s)/training(s) must specifically relate to the current job assignment as approved by the district. District approval process must be followed to earn credit.
Note: An Out of District Request form is required, along with proof of attendance, for the issuance of credit to your transcripts for professional learning hours earned.
Steps for processing:
Attendance at conferences, workshops or seminars must be directly related to currently assigned responsibilities
Complete all applicable information on the Out of District Request Form.
Submit form to campus principal for approval signature
Upon completion of training, provide this document and a copy of the certificate issued to you for processing to Candace Jorgensen to add your PD hours to your transcript records into Eduphoria.
***Be sure to keep copies of certificates for your personal records. ***
