Professional Learning

​​​Requesting Professional Learning Credit
College Courses​ 

​Because of the diversity of training needs, Katy ISD accepts, for professional learning credit, ​attendance at conferences and workshops outside the district, and college course work (maximum 6 semester units per year). The focus of the cour​se(s)/training(s) must specifically relate to the current job assignment as approved by the district. District approval process must be followed to earn credit. ​

Steps for processing:

​​1. Prior approval from principal/supervisor​

​​​2. Courses must be directly related to currently assigned responsibilities

3. Submission of "College Course Credit Request" for credit to the Professional Learning office

  • ​​​​​​​​Incomplete form, or missing documentation will delay processing of request​
4. A copy of their college transcript ​(unofficial transcripts acceptable)
