The Social Worker is responsible for providing information regarding outside agencies/services and connecting families to appropriate resources. The Social Worker is available to all students and families within Katy ISD. Information and resources may include:
Connecting families with programs/agencies to address individual behavioral, social, and emotional needs.
Assistance with state and government supports such as Medicaid, TANF, SSI, and SNAP benefits.
Locating a medical/behavioral health professional to address individual or family issues.
Connecting families with services for children with disabilities and long term state support resources.
Accessing the county Community Resource Coordination Group (CRCG) for additional outside supports for children.
