The Barnyard
The barnyard
area is adjacent to the barn. Many domestic farm animals
live in the barnyard. These include chickens, geese,
rabbits, turkeys, doves, guinea fowl, and a crayfish
farm. A functional Texas windmill supplies water to a
small pond in the barnyard. The chickens supply fertile
eggs for hatching which are used in the first grade level
at all elementary campuses. In addition to supplying
fertile eggs, the OLC also provides egg incubators (on a
checkout basis) and technical support for hatching eggs.
Many wild waterfowl, birds, and animals visit the
barnyard for food, water, and shelter.
