There are lots of ways to get involved with Books Abroad. Here are some suggestions:
Students can:
- sponsor a collection box/es at school.
- create class or organization competitions or challenges.
- create school-to-school challenges
- conduct penny drives.
- volunteer to sort and pack donations.
- spread the word.
Businesses, community groups and individuals can:
- sponsor a collection box/es at your location.
- provide customers with a donation option (such as add $1 to a purchase).
- organize a drive among employees.
- match customer or employee donations.
- mention Books Abroad on your website. Set up a link to www.katyisd.org/community/Pages/BooksAbroad.aspx.
- volunteer to sort and pack donations.
- spread the word.
