Katy ISD Workshops Provide Community Members with Details for LRFP: Attendance Boundary Modification
Attendees Offered Valuable Feedback to District Representatives
(February 5, 2010) – Approximately 300 Katy ISD community members attended public workshops to discuss issues and concerns surrounding proposed long range facility planning. The workshop provided details about possible attendance boundary modifications for the 2010-11 school year.
“We appreciate those who attended the workshops and the time and talent they offered on these important and sensitive issues,” said Katy ISD Superintendent Alton Frailey. “The workshop process allows each community member wishing to provide input that opportunity. All information gathered is considered as we work together in the best interest of Katy ISD.”
The district is currently reviewing all comments from the three workshops. Frequently asked questions and comments are currently posted on the district’s Web site, as well as an updated presentation outlining the LRFP. Also, the public is asked to provide additional feedback by completing the LRFP survey found on the district’s home page.
Katy ISD officials will make their formal attendance boundary recommendation to the School Board on Feb. 17. The Board will vote on final plans at this month’s regularly scheduled meeting on Feb. 22, at 6:30 p.m. in the Katy ISD Educational Support Complex.
