​​About WoodCreek Junior High

2017-2018 Texas Honor Roll School!​

WoodCreek Junior High (WCJH) is a ten year old high performing campus that serves 6th-8th grade students in Katy ISD. It is a great community with great parent involvement and excellent teachers. WCJH excels not only in academics but also in fine arts and athletics. WCJH student enrollment is currently 1600 students. In the 2019-2020 school year, WCJH is expected to be relieved by a new junior high that is being built near the area bringing our anticipated enrollm​​ent to about 1300 students.



​STARR Performance​​ ​

In addition to our instruction and core content classes, we have an outstanding Athletics and Fine Arts programs. We hope to build capacity in students through social emotional learning with our Character Education curriculum that is delivered through our Advisory classes. These Character Education lessons contain pertinent topics the junior high students of today.​

​2017 - 2018 Awards & Recognitions

  • 2017-2018 Texas Honor Roll Recipient (3rd year in a row to receive this honor)

  • A student reached the State Level for Texas PTA’s Reflection Contest

  • WCJH Band :  Director’s Choice Music Across Texas Band Competition: Superior Rating,  American Klassic Band Competition: Superior RatingBest in Class, Best in Festival & overall Grand Champion

  • WCJH student is crowned District​ Spelling Bee Champion

  • ​WCJH student is runner up in the state for the Geography Bee

  • Science Olympiad Team won 8th in State

  • ​6 Platinum awards for our students in the Jr. Art VASE Competition

  • Theater One Act Play Competition: Best Ensemble & Best Actress Award

  • Choir received all Superior ratings at UIL​​
