WoodCreek Elementary

How Do We Communicate?

At Woodcreek Elementary, we understand how important it is to provide as many means of communication as possible.

The following list comprises the different ways that you can be aware of the day- to-day schedule of events at Woodcreek Elementary.

  • Take home folders with expectation cards go home daily.  On Thursdays, an extra green folder (Thursday Folder) goes home with important school information and grades papers.

  •  "Ranger News"  is emailed weekly from Mr. Mosher and alerts you of upcoming events or items of interest.

  •  This year, Canvas is taking the place of Edmodo.  It is an awesome communication tool for parents and teachers.  On each teacher's Canvas page, the teacher will notify you of curriculum that will be studied, upcoming tests, announcements, and other helpful classroom information.

  • A weekly newsletter will also be posted on each classroom teacher's Canvas site.

  • The campus website will have important announcements, campus news, and upcoming events. There is also a campus calendar on our webpage which lists all events that take place throughout the month as well as the “Specials” rotation day.

  • Teachers communicate with parents through face to face conferences, phone conferences, and email, when necessary.  We require at least one in-person conference per year.  Keep in mind that parents and teachers are encouraged to request a conference when there is a need.

  •  WCE has a Facebook page.  Visit it to see pictures and interesting facts about our campus.

  •  If you are a member of the PTA, you will receive emails informing you about upcoming events in the school as well as events sponsored by the PTA.

  • Our marquee also lists important school events.

  • Mr. Mosher will send out a weekly Vlog to communicate with students.
