Book Fair Dates:
Texas Bluebonnet Program
Students in 3rd- 5th grade who read five Texas Bluebonnet titles may vote for their favorite book in late January. We will then have a special bash for those that read at least 5 books AND complete a Google Form for EACH book. Please click on the link for the list of titles. The address to the Google Doc is: https://goo.gl/forms/8ueEIGi5cGTMTQOu2 and here is a QR code to find it:
Texas 2x2 Program
Students in Kindergarten through 2nd grade are encouraged to participate in the Texas 2x2 Program. Students will be given a boot with 20 titles. If they read or listen to 10 of the books and color those sections, they can return the boot for a special surprise in the library.
This is a special tradition for our 3rd graders! Students are asked to read 5 books from different genres and document their reading. Students that complete this reading program will build a gingerbread house in December that they can take home to enjoy!
Monopolize on Reading
Monopolize on Reading is a reading incentive program for all grades. The primary objectives are to promote reading and to reinforce life-long skills in using library resources. The students will read 8 different types of books listed on the monopoly sheet. Each grade level will have their own specific dates and incentives. Those will be announced throughout the year.
