Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB)
Seven Lakes High School will be offering the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) to students in grades 10 – 12 on Tuesday, April 24th, 2018, in the LGI. The ASVAB is a voluntary assessment that measures developed abilities and helps predict future academic and occupational success. It assesses a student's ability to learn new skills and is a predictor of success in training and education programs. If you are interested in the ASVAB, you may sign up in the main campus counselors' office. The deadline for signing up is Monday, April 9th. For more information, please visit the ASVAB website.

Students are required to achieve "approaches grade level", "meets grade level", or "masters grade level" on all five of the EOC assessments [English I, English II, Algebra I, Biology, and U.S. History] in order to meet Texas testing graduation requirements.
Students who attend Miller CTC:
If you are scheduled to take an EOC test, you WILL NOT go to Miller first. You will come to SLHS. Miller knows that you are coming to your home campus to test.
If you are NOT scheduled to take an EOC test, you will follow your regular schedule at SLHS and Miller CTC. (*Note: May test dates will follow an alternate bell schedule which has not been determined yet.)
SLHS will be a closed campus for all five test dates.
Testing Room Assignments:
Testing rooms will be assigned and posted in the hallways the day prior to each EOC test.
Students need to bring the following items to each test:
- Two #2 pencils
- A book to read when they are finished testing. (a novel, NOT a textbook or any other instructional materials)
Accessing STAAR EOC Scores:
Parents may view and/or print STAAR EOC test results using either the Home Access Center (HAC) http://www.katyisd.org/pages/home-access-center.aspx or the Student Data Portal http://texasassessment.com/ . Please CLICK HERE for directions.
Starting in 2017, this is the only way to access your student's scores for STAAR. The new STAAR report card, also known as a Confidential Student Report (CSR), is posted in the STAAR Assessment Management System at http://texasassessment.com/
