Looking up STAAR EOC Scores
All scores for past tests may be accessed in the Texas Assessment Data Portal. This will be the only way to access your child's scores for STAAR. Please attached directions for accessing scores through the Texas Assessment Data Portal.
TELPAS and ALT 2 scores may be accessed using the Assessment Portal above as well.
For students who are eligible to test but have not yet achieved "Approaches Grade Level," "Meets Grade Level," or "Masters Grade Level" on English I, English II, Algebra, Biology or US History STAAR EOC will be automatically enrolled in December testing. (Note: A student is considered "eligible to test" if they have taken an assessment and not yet passed, if they have completed the course and haven't yet tested, were absent for testing during the school year, or went home ill during testing and were unable to complete the test.)
**For Spring/Summer 2020 only: If the student passed the EOC course, then they are waived from taking the corresponding STAAR test. If they failed the course, then they will be required to take the STAAR test in December.
Retester notices will be sent through your student's second period class in late November.

PSAT/NMSQT® Testing for 10th and 11th graders
Wednesday, October 14, 2020: Sophomores and juniors who opted for Face-to-Face instruction during the first grading cycle are automatically registered to take the PSAT/NMSQT® at SLHS.
Thursday, October 29, 2020: Sophomores and juniors who opted for KVA instruction during the first grading cycle are automatically registered to take the PSAT/NMSQT® at SLHS.
Students may not choose to change PSAT testing dates from one date to the other even if their mode of instruction changes for the second grading cycle. Testing materials had to be ordered in advanced based only on the first grading cycle attendance mode. This cannot be changed.
At this time, no decisions have been made about testing time during the day or what the expectations will be for non-testers (freshman, seniors, sophomores/juniors who have changed mode of instruction for the second grading period). More information will be sent out at a later date.
Please keep in mind that any plans are subject to change, given the course of this pandemic and executive orders issued by the state or counties.
Students will need to bring the following items to the test:
Valid photo ID (school ID or driver's license)
Two #2 pencils
A College Board approved calculator https://collegereadiness.collegeboard.org/psat-nmsqt-psat-10/taking-the-tests/test-day-checklist/approved-calculators
