Complete the Transcript Request Form (Under Documents on the right side) & mail/bring to SLHS along with $2 .00 for a Personal Transcript. PLAN AHEAD: Allow 2 weeks for processing transcripts, especially in the fall. SLHS cannot be held responsible for date mail is postmarked.
For Universities and Colleges which are on the Common Application, the student's counselor will attach a transcript to the application when she completes her portion. For out of state Universities, Colleges, and scholarship applications which are NOT part of the Common Application, students MUST provide a stamped envelope with adequate postage and $2. Please see the Registrars with questions about this procedure.
For most Texas Universities, Colleges and other public institutions the transcripts will be transmitted electronically. There is no processing fee. The registrars will notify you if the transcript cannot be sent electronically.
For former SLHS students requiring a transcript please email a request to one of the Registrars with details including a specific address for mailing.
If you are new to Katy ISD you will be enrolling your child electronically using PowerSchool Registration. Please follow the link below the icon for instructions on how to register your child. You still must go to your child's campus to complete the registration process.
This information can also be accessed on the "Parent" page of http://www.katyisd.org, click on the Registration link. Please read all of the information on this Registration webpage including the documentation required for Proof of Residence and Immunizations.
All documents to include transcripts and immunizations must be translated into English.
Bringing course descriptions, website information of former schools, and course catalogs are most helpful. Sometimes transcripts list simply “Math” or “Science” or “Social Studies”. We will need to determine what specific skills they were learning, for math –Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, etc.; science – Biology, Physics, Chemistry, etc.; Social Studies – World History, World Geography, and Economics. We want to be as fair and thorough as possible when determining credits.
If Registrars or Counselors cannot determine what the class is by title, the student will have to take a placement test to determine the credit transcribed.
Registration can be a lengthy process, even the 2nd semester. It is easier for everyone when you bring plenty of patience, reading materials, wireless devices (we have public Wi-Fi ), snacks and anything else that will make your wait more comfortable. There are several stations at which you must be seen and it takes some time, please be prepared!
Withdrawing a Student From Seven Lakes High School
Please give the Registrars' Office as much advanced warning as possible if you plan to withdraw your child, at least a week. Complete a Leaver Document located in the documents section at the top right of this page, and bring it in to the Registrars' Office. A copy of your driver's license will be made at this time. Your student will take a form around to be completed by teachers, the textbook clerk, librarian and grade level principal which will include withdrawal grades to take to a new school if appropriate. Documentation to include an unofficial transcript, immunization records, and withdrawal records will be available when the appropriate Leaver documentation has been completed.
If you plan to move over the summer: fill out a Leaver Document in the first 2 weeks of May 2016 and drop it in the Registrars' Office. At the conclusion of this school year, about 1 week after finals, the Registrars will have a packet of information and documentation for you to take to your new school. Failure to fill out a Leaver Document well before the end of the school year may delay the availability of these important documents.
