Sue Creech Elementary
Creech Elementary, opened in August, 2000. The building has 57 classrooms, computer center, a large music room that can be subdivided into two classrooms, two art rooms, a resource room and two 26-station computer labs. A technology center in every PK-2nd grade classroom includes three computers and two-way video transmission while the 3rd-5th grade classroom includes one computer that is connected to a mounted Smart Board interactive board. The school was named in honor of long-time educator Sue Creech, who taught language arts at Katy Jr. High. Teachers and staff model the example of the school's namesake, whose most outstanding characteristic was to find each child's special gifts and build on them.
