Title 1 Information
Rhoads Elementary is a Title I Campus
Rhoads Elementary is a Federal Title I campus. The purpose of Title I, Part A is to enable campuses to provide opportunities for students to acquire the knowledge and skills contained in the challenging state content performance standards for all children. Katy ISD has 16 elementary campuses designated as Title I campuses and receive federal funds under the Title I program.
Over the years, Rhoads Elementary has used Title I funds to purchase a variety of resources for students to use, such as computers, mini iPads, Smartboards, reading books, hands-on math equipment and games. Additionally, Title I funds have been used to provide additional staff for in-school tutorials and science lab, professional development for teachers, as well as programs for parents. Our evening family events are also funded through Title I.
Title I School/Parent Compact
school provides a Title I School/Parent Compact. The compact outlines how
parents, campus staff, and students share responsibility for improved student
performance. The compact is developed and reviewed annually with parents. Parents will receive a copy of the Parent Compact at fall conferences.
