Child Find Notice
It is Katy ISD's responsibility to identify and evaluate students who within the intent of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 need special services or programs in order that such students may receive the required free appropriate education.
A student who may need specialized instruction or programs within the intent of Section 504 is one who:
- has a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more of life's major activities; or
- has a record of such impairment; or
- is regarded as having such an impairment.
Students may be eligible under the provisions of Section 504 even though they do not require services pursuant to the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.
Parents who believe that they have a child who may qualify for special services or programs under Section 504 should contact Cliff Reed or DeeAnn Larsenâ€‹, the campus 504 coordinators, for Davidson Elementary.
Homecoming "Newcoming" Guidelines 2019
Homecoming is a semi-formal event, unlike Prom, which is a formal event.
What kind of attire can I wear?
The Homecoming Dance is a special night for PHS students. We hope to maintain the integrity and
formality of this special occasion by implementing a respectable and appropriate dress code. There
are a multitude of beautiful, tasteful and appropriate dresses, suits and attire available. Any student
should seek prior approval concerning his/her attire if questions remain.
ï¿½ Dresses should be modestly cut in the front so as not to show too much cleavage; plunging
necklines are not permitted.
ï¿½ Midriffs should be covered.
ï¿½ Length of dress should not be shorter than mid-thigh.
ï¿½ Failure to comply will result in not being able to enter the dance.
ï¿½ Pants and a dress shirt are appropriate
ï¿½ No suit required, but acceptable
How do I buy tickets to the Homecoming Dance?
Tickets to the dance will be sold during Power Hour, Wednesday- Friday (October 9-11, 2019).
Tickets are $20 each (cash only) and will NOT be sold at the door.
Can I bring a guest to the Homecoming Dance?
The guest will be required to show a current student ID or a valid driver's license at the door upon
entering. All guests must a high school student under the age of 20. Guests must complete the
Guest Form. Forms may be picked up from the grade level AP and must be turned in to your grade
level AP by Wednesday, October 9. If you are bringing a guest that is not a PHS student, it is your
responsibility to make him/her aware of our dress code policy for Homecoming and ensure they
comply with our expectations.
What do I bring to the dance?
You need to show your student ID or driver's license and your ticket to get into the dance.
What time does the dance start and end?
The Homecoming Dance will be in the PHS Main Cafeteria from 7:00-10:30 p.m. Students will enter
and exit through the West Side parking lot doors (leads into the cafeteria area). Students should be
picked up no later than 10:45 p.m.
Can we wear Mums?
Students will wear Mums on Spirit Day Friday (Game Day).
Are we going to have a Pep Rally?
Yes! We will have a Pep Rally Friday, October 11. We will run an Activity Schedule that day.
