Math Academic Support
Hello, my name is Katie LoSasso and I am the Math Academic Support teacher for Pattison Elementary. This is the start of my 18th year teaching and 4rd year at Pattison. I grew up in Chicago, IL and graduated from Illinois State University. I met my husband soon after and we moved to Raleigh, NC where we taught and lived for 6 years. We decided to move to Katy, Texas 10 years ago and we have LOVED every minute! We both enjoy teaching, exercising, swimming, hanging out with friends, and visiting family. I am very fortunate to teach Math Academic Support at Pattison. In this position I am able to help both the teachers and students K-5 in and out of the classroom. I LOVE Pattison and I am looking forward to a wonderful 2017-2018 school year!
Reading Academic Support
I have been teaching at Pattison since 2000. After being a classroom teacher for 19 years, I made the change to intervention. This allows me to work with a variety of age ranges and abilities. I love it! I moved to Houston in 1995 from the bitter cold state Michigan where I attended Michigan State University. My husband and I enjoy traveling the world looking for new beaches to dig our toes into and oceans to explore.
My name is Sharyn Skelton and I am the Dyslexia Intervention Teacher here at Pattison. I have previously taught kindergarten and am currently working on my Master’s degree in Reading. I have lived in Katy for the past 20 years but was raised in North Carolina and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I have been married for 18 years and have three children, Sarah, Jake & Sydney. In my spare time I enjoy running, gardening, crafting, reading, and traveling. I love working here at Pattison and am looking forward to this school year!
ESL Teacher (4th grade)
Hello colts! My name is Stephanie Rundell, and I am the 4th grade ESL teacher as well as the Support Team’s team leader. I am thrilled to begin another exciting year here at Pattison! As a child I attended Katy schools myself from Kindergarten until my senior year at Katy High School. I then went on to attend Texas Tech University and graduated only to return to Katy, the community I love, to begin what would be a long and fulfilling teaching career. I have an amazing husband and three wonderful children. My youngest will also be a Pattison Colt again this year. I look forward to a busy year full of learning and laughter!

ESL Teacher 5th grade)
My name is Mary Poole. I live in the community with my husband, Lance and our son, Chase. I enjoy reading, walking, going to the beach, fishing and hunting with my family. After spending some time studying at Texas Tech, I ended up graduating from The University of Houston. I have taught kindergarten and first grade for over 15 years, 12 of those years here at Pattison. I am blessed to work as an ESL teacher for 5th grade at Pattison. I have found that working with students who are acquiring a second language have quite the task at school trying to adapt to new surroundings, translate and process information that is presented to them. It brings me joy to see the hard work and growth the ESL students show throughout the school year. I love supporting and guiding students of all walks of life.

Hi! My name is Stacey Smylie and I am an Instructional Paraprofessional at Pattison. Lucky for me, teaching runs in my family. I was inspired and influenced by my late grandfather who was a teacher and later a professor at a university in Indonesia. As for my educational background, I attended Cinco Ranch High School for my freshman year and moved on to graduate from Seven Lakes High School in the first graduating class! Now, I am married to an incredible husband and we love to travel and seek new adventures. I am so thrilled to be back in Katy ISD and so excited to work with all of our sweet students on my second year at Pattison!
