Math Academic Support

Hello, my name is Katie LoSasso and I am the Math Academic Support teacher for Pattison Elementary. This is the start of my 19th year teaching and 5th year at Pattison. I grew up in Chicago, IL and graduated from Illinois State University. I met my husband soon after and we moved to Raleigh, NC where we taught and lived for 6 years. We decided to move to Katy, Texas 11 years ago and we have LOVED every minute! We both enjoy teaching, exercising, swimming, hanging out with friends, and visiting family. I am very fortunate to teach Math Academic Support at Pattison. In this position, I am able to help both the teachers and students K-5 in and out of the classroom. I LOVE Pattison and I am looking forward to a wonderful 2018-2019 school year!

Stacie Chmielewski

Reading Academic Support

I have been teaching at Pattison since 2000.  After being a classroom teacher for 20 years, I made the change to intervention.  This allows me to work with a variety of age ranges and abilities.  I love it!  I moved to Houston in 1995 from the bitter cold state of Michigan where I attended Michigan State University.  My husband and I enjoy traveling the world looking for new beaches to dig our toes into and oceans to explore.

Mary Poole

ESL Teacher  5th grade)

Hey Colts! My name is Mary Poole.  I live in the community with my husband, Lance and our son, Chase, who attends Taylor High School. I enjoy reading, walking, watching sports whether it is my son playing or any teams.  I enjoy going to the beach, fishing and hunting with my family. After spending some time studying at Texas Tech, I ended up graduating from The University of Houston. I have taught kindergarten and first grade for over 18 years, 13 of those years, here at Pattison. I have been blessed to work as an ESL teacher for 5th grade at Pattison. I have found that working with students who are acquiring a second, language have quite a task at school trying to adapt to new surroundings, translate and process information that is presented to them. It brings me joy to see the hard work and growth the ESL students show throughout the school year. I love supporting and guiding students of all walks of life.
