Gail Pope

Resource Teacher

Hi! I am Gail Pope and have been at Pattison Elementary my entire teaching career.  Special education has been my path for the last 13 years.  I am originally from Indiana and went to school at Ball State University (4 year degree in Marketing, 2 year degree in Early Childhood Education).  I went back to school when my family was relocated to Houston in 2001 and received my Texas teaching certificate.  I have been at Pattison every since! My husband and I have two girls--Cori, who is married and lives in Orlando and Brook, who is living in Houston.  We have three rescue dogs from small to large and I am a huge animal lover!  I am a big sports fan in particular Notre Dame University, Texas Tech, Indianapolis Colts and Chicago Cubs.  Since I have been in Texas, we have also adopted the Houston pro teams to our list.  I love working with special education students.  They surprise and challenge me every day to see how I can best help them through their years at Pattison.
