​​Myla Fales, Resource Teacher

​​​Hello Pattison Family!  My name is Myla Fales, and I am one of the Special Education teachers as well as the Special Education Department's team leader.  This will be my 11th year teaching. I feel very fortunate and blessed to work with our awesome students in this great community. My husband retired from the U.S. Navy after 24 years of service.  We have two wonderful children. My oldest graduated from Texas A&M and my youngest is in college. I look forward to a fulfilling, rewarding, and busy year.


​Morgan Ditchman, ​​​​​Resource Teacher

Howdy! My name is Morgan Ditchman and this is my seventh year teaching special education at Pattison Elementary. In 2012, I graduated from Texas A&M University with my Bachelor’s degree in Special Education. In 2016, I graduated with my Master’s degree in Professional School Counseling from the University of St. Thomas. In my spare time, I enjoy tailgating at Aggie football games, traveling and spending time with my husband and beautiful kids, Harper (2 years) and Hayes (8 months). I am incredibly passionate about working with children with exceptionalities and cannot wait to see what the 2018-2019 school year has in store!


Gail Pope, Resource Teacher​

Hi! I am Gail Pope and have been at Pattison Elementary my entire teaching career.  Special education has been my path for the last 15 years. I am originally from Indiana and went to school at Ball State University (4 year degree in Marketing, 2 year degree in Early Childhood Education).  I went back to school when my family was relocated to Houston in 2001 and received my Texas teaching certificate. I have been at Pattison every since! My husband and I have two girls--Cori, who is married and lives in Orlando and Brook, who is living in Houston. We have three rescue dogs from small to large and I am a huge animal lover!  I am a big sports fan- in particular Notre Dame University, Texas Tech, Indianapolis Colts and Chicago Cubs. Since I have been in Texas, we have also adopted the Houston pro teams to our list.  I love working with special education students. They surprise and challenge me everyday. I have found my passion in life and just wish I would have started teaching earlier in life! ​


Tamara Hogan, Special Ed Paraprofessional

​Hi!  My name is Tamara Hogan and I have worked in Special Education in the Katy district for 6 years.  I am excited to return to the Pattison Elementary team this year to work in both PPCD and Special Ed in class Support.  Although my degree is in Music, I have a passion for working with children with special needs. My husband, Jeff and I have 2 adult daughters; Quinn (22), who just got married this past spring,  and Kyra (20), who is currently in college. We enjoy hiking with our dogs, cycling and leading our church’s praise band. I look forward to another rewarding year at Pattison.


Fatima Benamar, Special Ed Paraprofessional

​Howdy!!  I am Mrs. “R”, One of the special ED Para at Pattison ,  Have been working with Katydids district since 2016, where I had / still  having the most wonderful experiences meeting all the incredible staff, teachers, and students. I have a Bachelor Degree in civil engineering,  I am a proud mom of two beautiful children. We love to travel, socialize and try new dishes. I speak three languages fluently and am novice in the 4th one!!


Meshelle Vanderhide, Special Ed. Paraprofessional

​Hi! My name is Meshelle Vanderhide . I have been working with the district since 2004 and with Sped since 2008. I love working with our sweet students ,I call my “Angels”. I Provide them with the love support and help they need to excel to make them more and more confident each day, learn from their mistakes and help them grow stronger as future citizens. A good foundation is key! I have two boys ages 17, Dwayne a HS senior  and 19 Klein, second year in college.

My previous Airline experience and still a world traveler, has taught me to respect everyone and their cultures. That we all are blessed with a talent. I  believe, my job as a teacher is an important and it’s my responsibility to bring out the best in my students. That every child has different strengths ,which would be my focus and offer help where needed. I am excited to work with each one of my Angels everyday and be their guardian Angel by being there for them in every possible way I can . I look forward to a wonderful year!


Melissa Chartier, Special Ed Paraprofessional

​​Hi … my name is Melissa Chartier.  This will be my 10th year at Pattison.  I’ve worked as a para in our Adaptive Behavior Unit for three years and now Special Ed In Class Support for our students.  I have a BBA degree from Angelo State University (San Angelo, TX). I have been blessed with two beautiful children … Carey (31) and Christopher (27) who married a wonderful young lady, Brittany. I have 3 “grand dogs” … Josie, Jack and Abby.   I enjoy reading, watching TV, and hanging out with friends! I look forward to another great year at Pattison Elementary and enriching the lives of our students!!



 Lyn Bowden, PPCD Teacher

​​​​Hello!  My name is Lyn Bowden, and I am the PPCD teacher at Pattison Elementary.  Previously, I was a preschool teacher for 11 years. I graduated from The University of Louisiana at Monroe, and I have two adult children who both attended elementary school at Pattison.  I enjoy teaching and interacting with preschoolers and find that they teach me as well. I am looking forward to a year filled with fun and learning!​


Emily Willoughby, PPCD Paraprofessional

​My name is Emily Willoughby and my journey at Pattison began 25 years ago. I have worked as a paraprofessional in the physical education area and special education. While in special education, I have assisted in PPCD and am now doing resource and in class support. I also have the opportunity to be the school crossing guard. I have three daughters and two grandsons. I enjoy golfing, reading, and hanging out with friends. My love is working with the children and helping change their lives.


Ivaelisse Cortes Gonzales, PPCD Paraprofessional

Hi, my name is Ivelisse González Cortés, and this is my second year at Pattison Elementary as a Paraprofessional in PPCD classroom.  I’m graduate from University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus, with a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration: major in Marketing and Human Resource Management, I have a Certification in Office Administration and  High School Teacher Certification from Puerto Rico. With 11 years teaching experience! In 2014, I moved to Katy with my husband Noel. I am working as well with Kids R Kids Learning Academy as Transitional Kindergarten teacher. I have a son; named Nicholas (3 years old).  I enjoy watch comedy movies, karaoke, outside activities with my husband and son and I’m a big Astros Fan! I’m so excited to start a new school year and be part of build the next Legacy!



Blair Miller, Speech-Language Pathologist​​

​​I received my Bachelor’s degree from Baylor University, then attended The University of Texas at Dallas where I received my Master’s and PhD in Communication Sciences and Disorders.  This is my 5th year at Pattison where I have enjoyed working with students to improve articulation, voice, fluency, language, and social skills. My husband and I have four boys and two dogs.  In my spare time, I enjoy reading, being outside, and cooking. Here’s to a great year!​
