Hi, my name is Rose Molter.  I grew up in Colorado Springs, Colorado.  After I went to college at Oregon State University where I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education I moved back to Colorado where I taught 1st and 2nd grade.  This will be my 11th year teaching and my 6th year teaching 2nd Grade at Pattison. My husband Matt and I were High School sweethearts and have been married for 10 years. We have a six year old son named Mason who is starting Kindergarten this year, a newborn named Maverick, and two Yorkie Dogs! I enjoy swimming, reading, and spending time with my family.  I am so excited to continue to be a part of the Pattison community and look forward to another AMAZING year!

​​​ ​​​​My name is Dianna Polnac. I graduated from Texas A&M and came to work in Katy ISD. This will be my 25th year to teach, 24 of those years have been here at Pattison--in 2nd grade!  I teach reading and writing and I am teaching partners with Lauren Clayton. My husband, Monty, and I have two children --our daughter is Allison, and our son is Payton. Allison will be a senior this year at Taylor high school and Payton will be an 8th grader at McMeans Junior High.  The kids keep us VERY busy with band, basketball, and baseball, but we wouldn't have it any other way! I LOVE teaching 2nd grade and am so excited about the year ahead!


​​ My name is Martha Basler.  I grew up in Midland, Texas, and graduated from SMU.  I have my Masters in Education from Stephen F. Austin.  This will be my 29th year in education and my 14th year at Pattison!  I teach reading and writing and my teaching partner, Maddi Mackey, teaches math and science.  In my spare time, I love to read, travel, (especially cruises!), and spend time with my family.  My husband, George , and I have one daughter, Elizabeth and a grandson, Liam.

Hello!  I’m Jill Hortness. I grew up in Nebraska and graduated from the University of Nebraska in Kearney. I have been teaching for 32 years!!  Since my husband is retired Air Force, I’ve been fortunate to have taught in many places including: California, Holland, England, San Antonio, and Ohio.  I spent 10 years in 3rd grade here at Pattison and this will be my fifth year in 2nd grade! I will teach Reading, Writing and Social Studies. My husband, Bill and I have two grown children, and one grandson!  I love reading, biking, and spending time boating and jet skiing with my husband. I’m looking forward to another awesome year!



​​My name is Lauren Clayton and I am so ready to get started this year! This will be my 2nd year teaching math and science at Pattison Elementary. I was born and raised in Katy, where I grew up in Katy I.S.D schools. I graduated from THE AMAZING Texas A&M University, Whoop, with a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. I got married last March to my wonderful husband, James, who teaches 8th grade at McMeans Junior High. In my spare time I love to exercise, spend time with family and friends, watch Texas A&M football, and relax at home. I can’t wait for this year to begin!! I am thrilled to be your child's teacher! Let the learning begin!


My name is Renee Richardson, and I was born and raised in Houston.  I graduated from Texas A&M University in 1995. This will be my 18th year of teaching.   I have taught third, fourth, and fifth grade. This will be by seventh year to teach second grade, and my 12th year here at Pattison.   My husband, Brad, and I attend the west campus of Second Baptist Church. We have two children. Garrett is 18 years old, and he will be a super senior at Taylor High School.   Jayden is 14 years old, and she will be a freshman at Taylor High School. I love spending time with my family, baking, and scrapbooking. I enjoy being a part of the Pattison family, and I look forward to a great year together!


​​My name is Lexi Smelcer. I grew up in Sugar Land, Texas. I graduated  from Texas A&M (WHOOP!) and then earned my Masters of Education at Houston Baptist University. This will be my fourth year teaching 2nd grade at Pattison.  My husband Tim and I have been married for two years, and have a rescued chocolate lab named Ellie! In my spare time I love exercising, cheering on the fightin’ Texas Aggies, as well as spending time with friends, family and our dog, Ellie! I am excited to teach your child math and science.  I cannot wait to get to know each one of you this school year!


My name is Lyndsey Tucker. I grew up in the Katy area, and attended all Katy I.S.D. schools as a student. I obtained my undergraduate and masters degrees from Sam Houston State University in Curriculum and Instruction and Instructional Leadership. This will be my tenth year teaching. I have served as a first and third grade classroom teacher, a math academic support teacher, and as a math and science instructional coach. My husband and I have three sons Hudson (6- First Grader at Pattison),  Keegan (4), and Eli (11 months). Besides spending time with my family, I love to read, watch my boys play baseball and soccer, and bake. I love teaching second grade,and being a member of the Pattison family! I look forward to working with my team and students to make this year the best one yet.

My name is Maddi Mackey and I’m so excited for this school year! I grew up in the Katy area and attended all Katy ISD schools as a student. I graduated from Ole Miss and got a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education. I moved back to Katy after I graduated to be closer to my family and start my career. This will be my second year teaching in Katy I.S.D, but my first year teaching 2nd grade math and science at Pattison! In my spare time I love to exercise, travel, and spend time with my family and friends. I am so excited to be joining the second grade and the Pattison family! I can’t wait for this year to begin!!
