As principal of Pattison Elementary, I have the most amazing job, and I just love it! I have had the privilege of teaching in various districts and at the elementary, junior high, and high school level, but I have spent the last 20+ years in Katy ISD. I received my undergraduate degree from Stephen F. Austin State University with a specialization in reading and special education. Immediately after graduation, I attended Texas A&M University (whoop!) where I was conferred my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction with a Reading Specialist certification. Later, I returned to school to receive my Administrative Certification.
I love to spend time with my family, cook, and travel. My husband, Dan, passed away several years ago from brain cancer, but I have a wonderful daughter, son-in-law, and grandson who reside in Katy. I feel honored and blessed to work with the most amazing staff, students, and parents at Pattison!

ELA/SS Instructional Coach
Each moment at Pattison is so special! As the Language Arts and Social Studies Instructional Coach, I am blessed to learn and work with outstanding teachers and children who are part of the amazing Katy ISD legacy. My 22 years in education have been in Katy ISD, and I believe in our district's mission to provide engaging and relevant learning experiences for each child.
From our supportive administration to dedicated teams of teachers, we strive to create a literate-rich environment that supports a reading and writing community of lifelong learners. I love our discussions that refine our teaching craft so that each child will develop his or her reading, writing, creative, and critical thinking skills.
Since 2000, I have participated in Destination Imagination® as an appraiser for the Gulf Coast Regional, state, and Global Finals tournaments. My other hobbies include reading, history, technology, baking, gardening, and walking with my slightly spoiled dog, May.
Math/Science Instructional Coach
As the math and science instructional coach at Pattison Elementary, I am fortunate to work alongside all the amazing teachers at Pattison and with most incredible students in Katy ISD!
I graduated from the University of Houston and started my career in education 20 years ago. I have two boys, Sebastian and Christian, who both attend Pattison. We also have a new addition to our family…a cute little puppy named Peanut. In my free time I enjoy baking, crafts, reading (math books of course!), trying new restaurants, and spending time with my family.
At Pattison Elementary, we work hard to implement a strong math and science program that pairs quality instruction with an environment that fosters a community of learners. Our goal is for all students at Pattison to have a fundamental understanding of math concepts, be confident problem solvers, and have a positive attitude toward math. We encourage our students to continue to love science, to question, to investigate, and to discover. We then help our young learners find viable solutions to their inquiries.
