Koalas Are The Best!

Kilpatrick Elementary School Spirit Song

By Rita E. Scott

July 2003

Kilpatrick is the place for you and me.
Kilpatrick is the place you want to be.
We’ll stand the test, since we are the best.
Kilpatrick is the best, just wait and see.

Kilpatrick is the place to learn and play.
We’ll read and write and do our math each day.
We’ll stand the test, since we are the best.
Kilpatrick is the best, just wait and see.

G' Day, My Friend, G'Day

Kilpatrick Elementary School Spirit Song

By Adam Levowitz

August 2003

While walking through the outback, I met a stranger there
His eyes were black and sparkling: he was covered in grey hair
From high in the tree, looking down at me, he called, “How’s it going, Mate?””
“It’s time to put the billy on and grab yourself a plate.”

“Bog in, my friend”, the stranger said, “I’ll tell you what I know,
About a place that’s close to home, where Blokes and Sheilas go
It’s a friendly place where a familiar face will greet you every day,
So when you’re going walkabout you’ll have these words to say,

“G’day, g’day, d’day, my friend, g’day
G’day, g’day, d’day, my friend, g’day
No worries, Mate, you’re welcome here to work and then to play
So, follow me to OKE and life will be okay!”

“I’ve yabbered long enough, my friend; I’ve told you what I know’
About a place that’s close to here. Now it’s time for you to go.”
I thanked the stranger for the food and I headed on my way
From high in the tree, looking down at me the stranger said, “G’day”

“G’day, g’day, d’day, my friend, g’day
G’day, g’day, d’day, my friend, g’day
No worries, Mate, you’re welcome here to work and then to play
So, follow me to OKE and life will be okay!”
So, follow me To OKE
And life will be okay!”
