OAC Retest/Redo Procedure
During the time that students are enrolled at the Opportunity Awareness Center, they will have the opportunity to retest or redo a major grade under the following conditions:
A student is eligible for one retest/redo on any major grade in which they scored less than an 80.
To be eligible to retest/redo, within a window of five school days, the student must attend a minimum of two tutorial sessions or be engaged in two or more learning opportunities as designed by the content teacher. If a student needs to attend more than one content tutorial for the purpose of retest/redo, the content teachers will work together to determine when and where the tutorials will occur. Tutorials may be offered during advisory or other times as designed by the content teachers during the instructional day.
The maximum grade to be earned on the retest/redo is an 80.
The retest/redo grade earned (80 or less) will be the grade recorded in the grade book unless the retest grade is lower than the original grade. In that instance, the original grade will stand.
This retest/redo procedure does not apply to final exams.
