These materials will be implemented during the 2017- 2018 school year. Instructional materials under consideration will be on display during business hours (8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.) for parent and community input at the Education Support Complex from January 9-27, 2017. In addition, instructional materials will be available for review from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 10, 2017, Thursday, January 19, 2017 and Thursday, January 26, 2017.</p></div>

Katy ISD Students Reach for the Stars and are recognized by NASAKaty ISD Students Reach for the Stars and are recognized by NASA2017-01-10T20:05:35Z<div class="ExternalClass3391A17508C646459C0B61C02C60EF33"><p>​<strong><em>A small piece of Katy ISD will soon be orbiting in space</em></strong></p><span style="font-size:14px;text-align:justify;">A Katy ISD student's dream of sending something into outer space has become an "out-of-this-world" reality when her artwork is selected by NASA's Commercial Crew Program to become a part of a space calendar.</span><p style="text-align:justify;"><br>Katy Junior High sixth-grader, Sylvie Mei Lim, competed against submissions from across the world.  Yet her artistic masterpiece ended up winning the first spot in the Children's Artwork Calendar for the month of January 2017.  Drawings from Spain, Romania, India, Portugal, London and now even Katy, TX, will be beamed into orbit for astronauts to enjoy during their stay in the International Space Station (ISS).</p><p style="text-align:justify;">Katy Junior High sixth-grader, Drew Alvarez, was also selected for an Honorable Mention.  </p><p style="text-align:justify;">The odds of two Katy ISD students being recognized and being the only two from Texas, is kind of "extra-terrestrial".  Congratulations!</p><p style="text-align:justify;">Click <a href="">here</a> to see Lim's drawing and full calendar. ​</p></div>
