★ DIANE WINBORN ELEMENTARY ART ★
DWE Art always has exciting opportunities for your student to engage themselves and learn within the realm of visual arts. Not only does your child learn the elements and technical skills they need to succeed as an artist, they will explore the world around them, experience, and learn how to be amazing individuals with important, necessary life skills. Your young artist will work their conceptual thinking with big ideas and themes to help their artwork soar and be the best among a talented group of peers.
We will be taking on a daring adventure of paint, clay, charcoal, and much more! Only the most adventurous artists will be able to enjoy the full amount of art we will learn about this year. So put on your most brave face and come create art in the Diane Winborn Elementary Art Room!
There are a few things Mr. Orsak requests of his artists. Please remember to help keep good clothes clean, have your child wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty on days they may have art. Please remember art can be fun, but messy. Your child will be engaged and working with paint, charcoal, clay, oil pastels, and more! The art program will supply aprons for your child, but I cannot promise it will keep all clothes art mess free.
We have two very exciting art programs this year at Winborn.
★ THE ANNUAL FAMILY ART SHOW ★
This is a school-wide art program that is put on by your student. All of the artwork your child has done over the school year is saved and stored in the art room. During the Spring, all of the school's artwork will be on display and you are welcome to come join us for a fun family art lesson and to view your child's artwork on display! There will also be a Silent Art Auction where all donations are put towards the art program here at DWE to make it more successful! So please come out and join us to see all the hard work put into art during the school year!
★ EAGLE ART CREW ★
The EAC is an after school extra-curricular program for my 5th graders where we explore the world of art to an extreme. We make larger pieces of artwork, study and create more detailed works of art, and experience different ways to make art to improve our knowledge and skills in our own personal art.
