SAT School- Day for CRHS Juniors

Wednesday, March 4th from 7:25 am - 12:15 pm

SAT Bell Schedule 2020 CRHS.pdf

CRHS is administering the SAT to currently enrolled juniors free of charge on March 4, 2020.  Students will take the SAT (with no essay) in a similar fashion to the PSAT that was taken last October.  Juniors who attend CRHS have automatically been enrolled to take the SAT on March 4.

HB3 from the most recent Texas Legislature passed that the State of Texas will provide one college entrance exam to every high school student free of charge.  The March 4th SAT is a regular SAT administered on a school day.  Results will be posted in your child's College Board account approximately 3-4 weeks after testing.  Paper scores will not be sent to CRHS.  Scores may only be obtained by the student through their College Board account.

Parents of ALL STUDENTS, please do not schedule appointments during the testing window as the campus will be closed.  Attendance passes will not be issued from the attendance office that morning for students in any grade level, even if they are not testing on that date.

Thank you for respecting this guideline.  Our first priority is always the safety of our students.  Our attendance clerks and other staff are busy on testing dates accounting for each and every student on campus and we need to keep them focused on that task.  Thank you so much for understanding and making allowances.

MILLER STUDENTS:

JUNIORS:

  • Group A will NOT go to Miller Career Center in the morning and must report to CRHS by 7:25 am
  • Groups B and C will leave at 12:50 after testing and Junior lunch is complete.  Miller knows you will be late.

SENIORS:

  • Group A will attend MCTC AM as usual.  You will leave MCTC at 9:40 instead of 9:50 to return to CRHS.  Use the attached bell schedule after your return to CRHS.
  • Groups B and C will depart at 11:00 and 11:55.

Late Arrival Seniors: You may come Wednesday at your normal arrival time. You will be following the alternate bell schedule attached.

For students who are eligible to test but have not yet achieved "Approaches Grade Level," "Meets Grade Level," or "Masters Grade Level" on English I, English II, Algebra, Biology or US History STAAR EOC will be automatically enrolled in Spring testing for the subject needed. (Note: A student is considered "eligible to test" if they have taken an assessment and not yet passed, if they have completed the course and haven't yet tested, were absent for testing during the school year, or went home ill during testing and were unable to complete the test.)

If you are scheduled to take an EOC test, you WILL NOT go to Miller first.  You will come to CRHS.  Miller knows that you are coming to your home campus to test.

APRIL: If you are NOT scheduled to take an EOC test, you will follow your regular schedule at CRHS and Miller CTC

Students will not be permitted to leave their testing room after they have finished their test so that they are not disturbing the other testers.

Thank you for respecting this guideline.  Our first priority is always the safety of our students.  Our attendance clerks are busy each period on testing dates accounting for each and every student on campus and we need to keep them focused on that task.  Thank you so much for understanding and making allowances.
