Katy Independent School District

Cinco Ranch High School

PSAT 2018

Wednesday, October 10th from 7:25 am - 12:00 pm

ALL 10th and 11th grade students will be participating in the PSAT. Students who are enrolled in CRHS will automatically be enrolled in the PSAT test.   Freshman and Seniors will attend a "homeroom" study hall during that time.  Details will be released at a later date.

Parents of ALL STUDENTS, please do not schedule appointments during the testing window as the campus will be closed.  Attendance passes will not be issued from the attendance office that morning for students in any grade level, even if they are not testing on that date.

Thank you for respecting this guideline.  Our first priority is always the safety of our students.  Our attendance clerks are busy on testing dates accounting for each and every student on campus and we need to keep them focused on that task.  Thank you so much for understanding and making allowances.

MILLER STUDENTS: Sophomores and Juniors will NOT go to Miller Career Center in the morning and must report to CRHS by 7:25 am.  Seniors will keep to their regular Miller schedule. Students who go to Miller in the afternoon will NOT be released during testing.  They will be able to leave after testing is complete to go to Miller.  Arrangements and bus times will be communicated at a later date.

Testing Room Assignments: Testing rooms will be assigned and posted in the hallways October 10th before school. Rooms will not be posted prior to test date.

Homeschool Student PSAT Registration:

  • Homeschool registration will be open from Sept. 5th – Sept. 26th.
  • No late registrations will be accepted.
  • A home-schooled student, who is enrolled in 9th-11th grade, may make arrangements to take the assessment at his/her zoned high school.  If you are unsure which campus you are zoned to, please use this link for the "School Assignment by Residential Address" application on the Katy ISD website.
  • 9th grade homeschool students may register to take the PSAT.  There is a $16 fee for all 9th graders testing.

Katy ISD does not contract with College Board for the following students to test. You will need to make arrangements outside of KISD for:
  • Private School
  • 8th grade testers
  • 12th grade testers

Please visit the Katy ISD webpage for Research, Assessment, and Accountability for additional information.
