Spring Deadlines: If the forms were turned in at the beginning of the school year, it is not necessary to turn in an additional form now.  These dates only apply to students who missed the fall deadlines.

Miller Career & Technology Center will be hosting its annual Prospective Student Open House on Tuesday, January 23rd at 6:30pm. All 7th-11th grade students along with their parents are welcome to attend. There are over 21 programs available for students to explore and gain exposure to potential post-secondary or career opportunities. Don’t miss out on the chance to see what Miller has to offer!


 Attention Seniors!!

Texas A & M Admissions has extended the admissions deadline to January 2, 1918 because they realize that many prospective students have been profoundly affected by the devastation of Hurrican Harvey.
Additionally, if the admissions application itself is submitted by the new deadline, they will accept required supporting documents (test scores, transcripts, etc.) through January 10, 2018.

Due to the time constraints as a result of Hurricane Harvey, Naviance Edocs will NOT be activated this fall.  Please follow these REVISED steps for College Applications:

  1. Complete your Student Profile for Recommendations in Naviance or pick up a paper copy in the counselors' office.
  2. Apply to your college(s) through Apply Texas, the Common Application or the college website.
  1. If using the Common App, invite the counselor and/or teacher to submit a recommendation letter, if required.  Click the link on the Counselors' page of the CRHS website for the counselors' email address. 
  2. If a recommendation letter is required for your college and it cannot be submitted electronically, bring an envelope addressed to the college, with postage to the appropriate counseling office and fill out a pink "Counselor's Request" form.
  1. If you would like to follow up with your counselor to make sure that they received any electronic invitations, complete an "Electronic College Application Follow Up" sheet which is available in the Counselors' Office.


Seniors if you need a page of a college application completed or a  college/ scholarship recommendation, please remember that you must submit a Counselor's Request no less than 15 working days prior to the deadline date.  If your deadline states that it must be Received by a date, add time for the mail.

Attention Juniors – The Coolidge scholarship of America application is now available at !  This scholarship covers a student’s tuition, room, board, and expenses for four years of undergraduate study and can be used by recipients at any accredited U.S. college or university.  The main criterion for the Coolidge is academic merit. Also, the Coolidge Foundation invites the top 45-50 applicants to participate in its Coolidge Senators Program, which includes an all-expenses-paid Summit Weekend in Washington, D.C. Applicants who make it to the finalist level, but do not ultimately win the full scholarship, receive a one-time finalist award of $5,000.  Applications must be received by 5:00 PM EST, January 24, 2018. 

Freshmen and Sophomore students interested in Miller Career Center Opportunities 
January 16th the Miller Career Center will present to the Freshmen in the PAC during 2.5 and
January 23rd there will be a presentation for Sophomores in the PAC during 2.5
