How Will Instruction Be Delivered At the Start of School

  • Starting with the first day of instruction on Wednesday, August 19th, both KVA and Face-to-Face (F2F) students will receive instruction the same way, through Zoom classes and Canvas.

  • For each core subject class (ELAR, math, science, social studies) students will meet with their teachers through Zoom.  Assignments, resources, and instructions will be provided in Canvas.

  • For electives classes (PE, art, choir, theatre, orchestra, band, Principles of Engineering, Career Readiness, Principles of Human Services, etc.) students will meet with their teachers each day for the first three days of school.  Starting on Monday, August 24th students will meet 1-2 times per week with their elective teachers.  Teachers will communicate their weekly meeting schedule.  Though they will only meet 1-2 times per week, assignments will be given for daily completion.

  • For both F2F and KVA, students are expected to complete and submit their assignments on the day that they are assigned.

  • The "Virtual Bell Schedule" is attached.  Students and teachers will follow this schedule.

  • Advisory – students will meet with their Advisory teacher on the first day (Aug. 19th) and the Advisory teachers will explain the expectations & procedures for Advisory.
