Katy Independent School District

Cimarron Elementary

Yearbook Club

Cimarron is proud to announce its newest extracurricular activity….Yearbook/Journalism Club.

The club has been created to enhance our student’s writing through self-selected topics, assign topics, interviews, etc. Along with showing off their amazing writing process skills, our members will be taking pictures, designing this year’s yearbook, and having a significant impact for student voice on our campus.

Meetings will be held 2-3 Mondays a month.

We will be fundraising occasionally, interviewing our peers and teachers, participating in all events, writing articles for the CENews, and of course making the best yearbook this school has seen.

The students will be required to pay a nun-refundable fee of $25 if selected for this exclusive bunch of bright minds.

Fall Fundraisers: Boo Grams and Holiday Grams

Expectations: Attend meetings regularly (2 absences and you will be removed), have a positive and collaborative attitude, be able to write and edit self-created and peer work, and be able to keep club information confidential (a secret)
