(The only club that counts!)

Mission:

CE Math Club will stimulate students' interests and appreciation of mathematics through math enrichment programs targeting the students in grades 3-5, CE Math Club aims to

  • develop and reinforce mathematical skills

  • increase students' enjoyment of learning using mathematics games

  • raise students' appreciation of the diversity of mathematics and its applications

Students are involved with exploration of skills, math investigations, discussions, creativity and reflections and math activities

Meetings: Twice a month in the LGI (Thursday)

Math Club Field Trip: Texas A&M University Math Fair    Date: TBD

Friday Night Lights:                  Date: Friday, December 14th

Family Math Night at Kroger      Date: Thursday, April 25th

Student Fees $25: T-shirt, math journal and supplies

Student Goals:

  • to raise the confidence level of all students in areas of mathematics

  • to help students to explore and enjoy the beauty of mathematics inside and outside school walls

  • to see how common problem-solving techniques can be applied to a variety different situation

  • to understand there are many paths to a correct answer​​
