Kindergarten & Pre-K Registration
Parents must log on and complete the registration process online before arriving to the above registration date. To register your child, please log on to www.katyisd.org and click on the Parent tab, then click on Registration. Once you are on the Registration page, follow the prompts until you have completed the entire registration process.
When you come to register your child, the documents below are REQUIRED to complete your registration.
**Proof of Residence (a current utility bill, gas, electric or water with the parent/guardian's name and street address or a house or apartment lease agreement.)
**Official Birth Certificate or another document suitable as proof of the student's identity.
**Proof of Immunizations (these must be as up to date as medically feasible and must be certified by a Doctor or Public health official.) If not in English they will need to be translated.
** Parent/Guardian ID
** Child's Social Security # (optional). If you included your child's SSN on Infosnap, a copy is required.
Proof of immunization must be provided during registration. Student immunizations must be as up-to-date as medically feasible and must be certified by a doctor or public health official. A student will not be allowed to attend class if immunization records are not presented at enrollment. A full list of required immunizations, including information about provisional enrollment, can be downloaded from the Katy ISD Health Services Department.
FINALLY! Registration can be a grueling process, especially during the first few days of New Student Registration. It is easier for everyone when you bring plenty of patience, reading materials, wireless devices (we have public Wi-Fi), snacks and anything else that will make your wait more comfortable. There are several stations at which you must be seen and it takes some time, please be prepared!

**Reporting an Absence.
1. On the day that the student is absent, the parent/guardian should complete the online Absence Report
or call the Attendance Office at 281-234-0500 or send an email to email@example.com.
2. If the school does not receive timely notice regarding an absence, the parent may be contacted by school staff or the automated phone system to verify the absence. If a parent/guardian does not make telephone or personal contact with the Attendance Office, the student must bring a note signed by the parent or guardian on the date of return to school. The note must include the reason for the absence, the student's grade level, first and last name, teacher name, and the dates of absence. Telephone or personal contact by the parent with the Attendance Office is the preferred method of reporting a student absence.
3. Failure to establish parent telephone or personal contact with the school on the date of absence or to provide a written note to the Attendance Office when the student returns will result in an unexcused absence. Such lapse in notification may initiate a compulsory attendance notification.
A student is considered tardy when the student is not in the proper place with all needed materials when the tardy bell rings at 8:20a.m. Our front doors open at 8:00 a.m. for student drop offs. Please help us get each day off to a smooth start by having your child here on time. Students with excessive tardies will not receive perfect attendance. Bad weather and traffic are NOT excused. Please plan accordingly on bad weather days for possible delays.
Parents should notify the registrar 24 hours in advance when a child is withdrawing. The parent must come to the office to complete final withdrawal procedures. Records will be sent to the new school when release of records documentation has been received.
