New Teacher Academy
The New Teacher Academy provides the foundation for your career in the classroom.
New Teacher Orientation
As a teacher new to Katy ISD, you will attend two days of professional learning on August 12-13. On August 12th, you will report to your campus from 8:00-4:00. On August 13th, you will attend district professional learning sessions that support your curriculum/program area/grade level. Click on the appropriate link below for session locations.
KMAC Training (Katy Management of Automated Curriculum)
In this required training, you will learn the district’s model for curriculum design and lesson planning. Also learn how to use KMAC, the automated tool used to write quality lesson plans.
Technology Orientation
In this required training, you will learn how to take advantage of all the technology resources the district has to offer.
Summer Trainings
View all of the summer trainings in which teachers are encouraged to participate (by content area/level).

Mandatory Trainings
Katy ISD has several mandatory trainings in PowerPoint format that you may want to complete prior to your first day.
A+ Eduphoria
A+ is the district’s new Professional Learning Management System for managing professional learning. Once you have your ID, you may search and register for sessions in this system.
Summer Training Contact List
This list, by department, provides names/\phone numbers of whom to contact to sign up for a session if you have not yet attended a New Hire Meeting and do not yet have your ID.
August 17th Professional Learning Day
This day includes the following:
Half day: Convocation and Digital Learner presentation at the Leonard Merrell Center Arena
Half day: District content/program training
You will receive a schedule at your campus.
